Donc, vous savez parler un peu le français mais souhaitez améliorer votre niveau ?
So, you can now speak some basic French but wish to improve your level?

Bienvenue à notre cours de français pour les faux-débutants!
Welcome to our post-beginner French course!

For students who have already done an absolute beginner course, studied French at school or have studied on their own and now feel that they need some formal support from a tutor, we offer a post-beginner course that will allow you to consolidate your knowledge and build up your vocabulary. Below are some ideas of what you will be able to achieve, however your tutor will adapt the course to suit your current knowledge and your aims for the future.

Conversation Piece offers a simple service where a French teacher comes to your home (or other preferred location) on the day of your choice. We work with over 50 experienced French Teachers throughout the UK, so we can definitely find one in your area.

Holiday French:

Brush up your survival French and take it to the next level! Learn to book your hotel, buy tickets to a show and ask for directions in French. You will get so much more out of your holiday in France if you can understand and speak the language.

French for Pleasure:

Hobbies come in all shapes and sizes: boating, reading, dancing and…learning a language. You know the basics of French of survival French and can now start building your vocabulary and structures.

Family Ties:

Do your parents or grand-parents speak another language? We regularly get requests from students who wish to be able to speak in their parent’s native tongue – they often understand what is said but cannot respond.

Weddings:

Meeting the parents and wedding speeches are said to be some of the most stress-inducing situations so why not take some of the pressure off and arrange a few French lessons to prepare for That meeting or That speech. Learn a few ice-breaking sentences to charm your family in-law or write your speech and practise it aloud with a native French speaker to ensure all goes smoothly.

Preparing an Exam:

Long-term exam preparation or last minute exam revision course, our French exam-preparation teachers are all experienced in GCSE, A-Level, entrance exams as well as the DELF and DALF. They will ensure you achieve the highest standards.

Moving to France:

While survival French will help you on a short trip to France, moving there will require more in-depth knowledge: being able to speak and understand the language and know what to expect from a cultural point of view: education system, admin procedures, etc. Make your move to France a mine-free experience!

Interviews and CVs:

Review your CV with a French native Speaker and learn to sell yourself in French. Practise interview techniques via role-play situations and improve your knowledge of business French.
